What it is
We meet on a Zoom call for 60 minutes. Before the call I cast your natal chart, the chart of your birth. On the call I read it with you.
I start with your temperament: how hot, cold, wet and dry are mixed in you, worked out from the rising sign, the Moon and the Sun. Then the sect of the chart, the ruler of the rising sign and how it stands, and the condition of each of the seven planets. I add the Lots of Fortune and Spirit, which the tradition ties to the body and circumstance, and to mind and action.
The reading includes a forecast for the year ahead, by the standard methods of traditional astrology (such as annual profections, the solar return and transits). It says what the chart marks out and where it is doubtful. It is not a promise.
I read difficult subjects, such as health, money, legal matters and relationships, with care. How I do that is under Before you order.
If you do not know your birth time
The reading still works. If you know your birth time to within about an hour, I can rectify it, which means testing it against events in your life, and I will tell you how sure I am of the result. If you have no time at all, there are limits to what I can say. The rising sign, the houses, the Lots and the exact degree of the Moon are uncertain, and I will not guess at them.

What it is
Horary astrology answers a specific question from the chart of the moment the question reaches the astrologer. You send one question. I cast the chart and first judge whether it is fit to be read. If it is, I read it by the traditional rules for the matter you asked about, and I write down the judgment and the reasons for it.
The answer is what the chart shows, in the tradition’s terms. It is a reading of the moment. It is not a promise and it is not advice. The decision stays with you.
Who it is for
You have one open question about your own affairs: a choice between two courses, a piece of work, a move, a relationship, a lost object, or a health or money matter you want read with care. The question should be sincere, specific, and yours.
How the question works

One question, plus one or two related questions on the same matter at no extra charge. A question on a different matter is a new reading.

Questions that ask whether something will happen, or when or where, work best. If you ask “should I?” or “why?”, I will reword the question with you before I cast.

The chart is cast for where I am, at the moment I read and understand your question. The reading states the time and place I used.

Please ask when you most want to know, and do not time the question by the sky. Do not ask the same question twice unless the situation has changed, and tell me if you have asked it of another reader.
What I need from you

Your question, in your own words, and two or three sentences of background.

A name to address, and an email address.
Your birth time does not matter for a single question. The chart is cast for the moment I read and understand the question, not for your birth.

A plain statement of where the chart is doubtful.

What I will not read
A question you have already asked me or another reader, when nothing has changed. A question asked out of idle curiosity or to test the method. A request to harm someone or to do something unlawful. And I will not read an emergency: if you or someone else is in danger now, contact emergency services first.

Return Reading

If I have read your natal chart before, you can book a Return Reading a year on. It is a live call of 45 minutes over Zoom. It builds on the first reading: a new forecast for the coming year, and what has changed since we last spoke. You keep a recording and my notes.

A reading is an interpretation of a chart. It is not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and it does not guarantee any outcome. You must be 18 or older. Your birth details are used to cast your chart and are handled as the law requires. The policies page has the details.
Difficult subjects
I read difficult subjects, including health, death, money, legal matters, relationships and other people, with care. I say what the chart shows in the tradition’s terms. I do not diagnose, I do not give medical, legal or financial instructions, and I do not predict a date of death. Where a matter needs a doctor, a lawyer or other professional help, I say so. I read other people’s part in a matter from your side, and I do not claim to know what they intend beyond what the chart shows.
